Royal Oak Metropolitan Musicafe

    We’d read in the newspaper that Jimmy Buffett would be making an appearance at the Metropolitcan Music Café, in Royal Oak, to put his hand or foot prints in their Walk of Fame.  The printed announcement had been so tiny we hoped it might have gone by unnoticed and we’d get our chance to meet and get close to our hero.
    I borrowed my brother’s fancy new RCA camcorder—the old kind you have to wear on your shoulder—to document the event.  But what I documented was our big long four hour wait for nothing.
    Nevertheless, check out how thin we were, check out our giant glasses, and check out the snazzy and almost-responsive macrofocus that fascinated me so much…
