I’ve decided to change it. Forget helping other people — this is about ME<\/i>! If I can raise four or five thousand bucks I can get “implantable contact lenses”!
    This looks like it might be an excellent solution for me. I, like fellow blogger Greg<\/a>, suffer from keratoconus, a thinning of the cornea which leads to blurred vision. (He has it worse than I do though, and the National Center for Keratoconus<\/a> is also the charity<\/a> for which he’s blogging.) It’s a degenerative disease and the only cure is corneal transplant.
    However the problem might now be solved with implanatable contact lenses<\/a>. I saw a story on them on Tech TV’s Tech Live<\/i><\/a> Tuesday, and it looks like a great though pricey alternative. The procedure is still being tested<\/a>. But if Ursula Andress recommends<\/a> it, then, heck, how can I say no.
    P.S. I was only joking about changing my charity<\/a>.
