I’ve been checking out other sites in the Blogathon and I’m overwhelmed by all the great charities being supported. There are so many worthy causes that it feels daunting. I wish I could pledge them all, or that I could choose several other charities instead of just my one. Charities fighting cancer, depression, diabetes, hunger, illiteracy, or fighting for human rights and animal preservation. On one hand, it’s an undeniable depiction of how screwed up humanity is, that we need these agencies to protect us from ourselves; but on the other hand, it’s a nice thought that all it might take are a few bucks from everyone and all these problems could go away.
