The new album isn&#8217;t out till Tuesday, but since <a href=\"http:\/\/demand1.stream.aol.com\/ramgen\/aol\/us\/aolmusic\/artists\/mailboat\/jimmybuffett\/jimmybuffett_farside.smil\">AOL is downstreaming it<\/a> I&#8217;m able to listen to <i>Far Side of the World<\/i> as I type this. It&#8217;s too soon to offer any serious review, but I can say I&#8217;ve taken an instant liking to pretty much every song. The band sounds great and there&#8217;s a nice variety to the song selection. I might eventually tire of Jimmy&#8217;s &#8220;White Man Rap&#8221; (such as on &#8220;Altered Boy&#8221; and &#8220;Autour De Rocher&#8221;, the latter of which by the way sounds a bit too much like &#8220;Jamaica Mistaica&#8221; but it&#8217;s got a nicely unexpected and infectious riff), but I can imagine myself playing this album a lot this Summer &#8212; especially to make up for the fact Jimmy is skipping a concert in Michigan again.
