It looks like it was due to a bad cable modem.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; A day after reporting how my Internet problems had vanished, they returned with a vengeance. I&#8217;ve had spotty connectivity since Friday and I finally went to the Comcast payment center this morning and swapped out the cable modem. The new modem works fine &#8212; until shortly after I publish this, presumably, if everything stays true to form &#8212; and, at last (at least), the modem is not constantly resetting itself and I&#8217;m able to stay online for more than a couple minutes a day.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; I doubt if this will increase the frequency of updates here however, but that&#8217;s only because I&#8217;ll be preoccupied in downloading MP3s, SHNs, MPEGs, warez, and porn.
