They showed up yesterday. The discs have some nice albeit simple packaging, and a very nice touch is the inclusion of JB&#8217;s &#8220;handwritten&#8221; setlists.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; As the back cover says, &#8221;nothing has been altered in anyway&#8220; so the soundboard recording is pretty much monaural: almost all the instruments are mixed toward the center. This is fine for listening on speakers but can get kind of dull on headphones. It&#8217;s probably preferable to mix the sound to mono for a live concert setting; but the only CDs I can compare these to are The Who&#8217;s 2002 series, which had full stereo mixes.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; The Seattle show might be of more interest, just for the Hendrix song. One thing that surprises me a great deal is the Las Vegas discs were mastered with two-second gaps between tracks! It&#8217;s as if someone made us an MP3 CDR or something (though I hasten to add the CDs are silver and not CDRs).
