Back in August, when we got the surprise announcement of a Michigan show in September, Hud (texting from Florida) had asked “Will it be warm?” To which I had quickly responded, “It was going to be warm, but then they scheduled a Buffett concert.”
I did not know how right I was.
For the day of the concert, and the day before, we had continual rains and a temperature drop of over ten degrees (Fahrenheit), in the upper fifties. Adding insult to injury, the day after the concert, the sun was out and temps were in the low seventies.
The tailgate was sparse and the pavilion took so long to fill that I was afraid Jimmy would play to empty seats. He’d take one look at the crowd and vow never to play Michigan again! Fortunately, the placed fill up just in time, Jimmy played another great show, and the crowd was appreciative and responsive.
I’m still not sure if I have enough footage to make a tailgate video, but I’ve uploaded my photos to Flickr.

I spent a week, last month, seeing if there was a TV commercial for this year’s show. Little did I know I could’ve just gone to the 313Presents site and found it there…
Note: 313 Presents removed the video from YouTube, but here is an archived copy.
I’ve been seeing several ads like this recently, giving me the sinking feeling that ticket sales might not be going so well. I find it hard to believe Pine Knob can’t sell out for Jimmy. Could it really be true we’re a bunch of pansies who are scared away by a couple vaccine or mask restrictions?
Bullshit! We’re smarter than that.
What’s holding you back? It’s Buffett we’re talking about here!
The 313 Presents presale started at 10 AM this morning. We call this GIF “Ordeal in Six Screen Grabs.”
But, it’s over now. All of us got tickets and we got them a day early.
Note: this got added to during the official sale on Friday. It’s now eight screens.
We uploaded our 2019 tailgate photos, way back when, but never got around to following up with our concert photos. On the eve of a whole new concert, let’s clean up loose ends and correct that now…
(And, yes, we know. This entry is two years late.)

Still using the same old Feeding Frenzy music bed, here is this year’s radio ad, recorded this morning (off WCSX 94.7, at approximately 10:30 AM EDT.)
Week 16 of their Road Trip brought them to Zodiac Raquetball Club, famous for its pizzas and home of our “recording studio”.
(See the windows in the background? Behind those is where we record our podcasts.)
