Vanilla Describe

    I’m sampling a glass of the new Vanilla Coke as I type this. I assumed it would taste like cream soda, and since I’m not a big fan of cream soda I was not looking forward to this latest flavor. Vanilla Coke tastes a lot like a Coke float, like Coke with some ice cream added. This reminds me pleasurably of the times I used to make Coke floats when I was a kid. (Actually, the soft drink of choice for this is Vernor’s ginger ale.) So Vanilla Coke does not taste as bad as I expected, but then again it’s not necessarily a taste I will seek out nor a taste that I can see myself getting in the future. Unlike, say, their previous Coke With Lemon experiment, which was much more successful and much more worthwhile. (Although for the record I still prefer Pepsi Twist. And at least Pepsi worked on coming up with a name.)
