Campaign Trail Mix

    I was upset yesterday, Election Day, when I confirmed my “Short Fat” Party was not represented on the local ballot. I spoke with the Clerk’s office this morning and was told that my proposal was deemed unacceptable. I am positive I submitted it within the time frame, but apparently there was a “problem with gravy stains”. Therefore, I was ineligible to run for office as a Short Fat candidate. I suppose this is just as well, since I never bothered to make any signs. I guess there’s always next year. This will give me more time to firm up my platform to include more than just insuring the local Kroger continues to stock Jalapeño Krunchers. Until then, ¡viva el partido corto gordo!
