Stuff I learned while reading

- The smell of male sweat makes women relaxed, according to this Reuters story, and has a “beneficial effect on women’s moods”. So if any women want to feel really relaxed, they should follow me in half an hour as I make my way up the stairwell to my car.
- Technology confuses CNN. Several major Internet sites have been having fun with the CNN: Technology headline “File-sharing sites allow trading of porn”. Well, yes; obviously. I know, I was tempted to make fun of that headline too; but the story is really how utilities like Net Nanny do not work with P2P services. So although parents might think they are protecting their children from “Goatse.cx”, such adult material is still easily accessible. Too bad this message was lost through a clumsy headline.
- It’s a shame when some record producer is more rational and sensible than our elected officials. Brian Eno has some interesting food for thought in this self-penned column.
