Schedule be damned. I can’t wait. Besides, I just saw Intel’s plans for new chipsets and I want to get my computer up and running before it’s already obsolete.I went ahead and ordered the processor last night from New Egg (I also succumbed and got the floppy drive too, since it was only six bucks). I put the fans in this morning as well, but still have to figure out the neatest way to plug them all in. Who knows, Elmer 2000® might be fully operational this weekend — just like a Death Star! Update: Phew! Well the fans are all in, and they’re plugged in too. I also stopped off at Comp USA after work and got some chrome grills, which I think look better than the clear acrylic ones. Plus I got some Molex adapters to make sure I could wire all the fans up. I even put the sound card and video card in, so, as far as I can tell I’m all set for when my processor shows up…
…for which I just got Fed Ex confirmation! It’s scheduled to arrive Friday.
