I guess there’s no need for me to write to Jimmy and point him to themusic.com, the site The Who used to sell soundboard copies of all the performances of their concert tour. He is already planning something similar. Not only that, it looks like his own company will be handling it.
This is what I just read in Yahoo!’s Buffett listserv, in a message from the “Treasurer and ‘Fun-time’ Ambassador of the Delaware Seashore PH Club”.
I found this very interesting. I just ordered some CD’s for my store and found 7 new Buffett CD’s available for pre-ordering. Apparently the West Coast concerts are going to be recorded live and distributed by Mailboat Records with a suggested retail price of $18.95

Too bad this didn’t start at the beginning of the tour (so I could have a copy of the show I was at), but, still, it is excellent news!
P.S. It looks like it is going to happen. A quick check of Amazon shows the Live in Las Vegas CD is all set for pre-ordering! This is great!
