
According to the article, the Hartford Courant found the home phone numbers of “two DMA senior vice presidents, three vice presidents and four directors” as well as two recent retirees. Some of these people, when questioned, believe their numbers may have been to embarrass them; others said they added their numbers to test the list’s effectiveness; and one unnamed employee did confess that ‘I registered there myself personally, for the same reason that other consumers have. I don’t want to be bothered by telemarketing calls.’”
Despite the list reportedly being honored by telemarketers, I personally have seen an increase of calls.
