Free Press has a front-page
article on how Detroit representatives were in Houston last weekend to show off plans for our city’s hosting of Super Bowl XL in 2006. To make Detroit more inviting they doctored
a nighttime view of the city, adding lights to all the abandoned buildings and making the city look inhabited.
Plans are in the works to refurbish those areas in time for 2006. So hopefully Detroit might actually resemble what is envisioned (but best not look
too close, no matter how well-lit those buildings might be inside).
