Stand by for (more) news! Judge Susan Illston of U.S. District Court in San Francisco has ruled 321 Studios must stop selling its DVDXCopy software within one week!According to a Reuters article, “The Motion Picture Association, or MPAA, said the ruling sent a ‘clear message’ to companies to stop violating laws by selling software that gets around copy protection” despite the fact copy-protection already prevents you from your right to backup your own copies (and despite the fact any and all DVD players must break copy-protection when they display your movie).
