I recently
found out about a feature at Amazon called “
Purchase Circles”. Amazon keeps track of purchases made from certain regions or from employees at various companies, and has compiled this information into what amounts to highly focused best seller lists. I’ve been having fun going through their list of companies, comparing employee purchases between
Apple and
Microsoft purchases, seeing what
Ford employees have been ordering, or what
AOL employees have gotten. Or finding out people in
my area are interested in.
Usually, the top sellers are
The South Beach Diet,
The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and
The DaVinci Code; but some of the lists are interesting. Here’s Amazon’s Purchase Circle
front page, their list of
companies, and their list of
US regions.
