Some Music Videos for a Thursday Afternoon

    Everyone seems to agree today is a quiet day for sitting around and doing nothing. No one seems motivated. That’s fine by me. Here a couple made to order links, to web pages which require no reading, just passive viewing with the occasional foot-tapping. The first is an extremely well-done Flash animation of a Beatles music video, which I found as usual via the Something Awful forums.
    The second is an except from VH-1’s A Night With. I forgot to watch this was in it was on TV so it’s great to be able to see it now. When we saw U2 in Las Vegas, November 18 2001, they were joined on stage by a girl pulled out of the audience who played “People Get Ready” on acoustic guitar. My friend Phil couldn’t believe it when the girl’s name, Julie Kryk, was announced. She was the very same Windsor ON girl to whom he’d sold his General Admission ticket, a few days prior! With the aid of some well-shot and well-recorded bootlegs, VH-1 was able to tell Julie’s story. And when you watch it, remember that she’d be nothing without Phil’s ticket!
