If there’s anything worse than having to buy some overpriced gadget it’s having to buy two! Agh, the ignominy!I was out taking some photos of storm clouds last week and my digital camera’s battery ran out. I couldn’t find my power adapter anywhere, with which to recharge the Canon’s battery. I searched all over the house but could not find it. I wondered if I might have left it at my brother’s house, from when I’d been taking pictures at my niece’s graduation party. I called him up and he said he’d look for it for me; but the fact he hadn’t spotted it already seemed to suggest it wasn’t there.
With Father’s Day coming up I’d need to do something quick. I couldn’t just buy another battery since that would only be a temporary solution — I’d be right back where I was in a few days. So I swallowed my pride and ordered another Canon CA-560 power adapter. The damned thing cost me ninety bucks too! Plus I spent twenty bucks on 2nd Day Air shipping to insure it would show up before the weekend.
I fully expect to find the adapter soon after the new one arrives. However, I didn’t know what else to do to insure I’d be able to use my digital camera again.
I’m such a loser.
