FedEx said I could expect my G5 on Monday. But it’s still in China and has not moved in twenty-nine hours!
This is what my tracking page still says:
That’s the way it’s been since yesterday morning!
I can’t take this any more.
How much is a frigging plane ride to China? I’ll pick the damned thing up myself! [3:34 PM]
Update: at last a breakthrough! All day long I kept seeing the same damned report on my tracking page. I even saw the same when I got home; and I got so desperate I even tried checking the page on the Mac version of IE and of Netscape. Oddly, Netscape showed a different result! With Netscape I saw:
Aug 6, 2006 | 12:08 PM | In transit | ANCHORAGE, AK | Package available for clearance |
I checked Safari again to make sure, but it still repeated what I’d seen earlier and all day yesterday. However, minutes later, Safari changed as well — but reported something Netscape did not!
Aug 6, 2006 | 3:48 PM | Left FedEx Sort Facility | ANCHORAGE, AK | Departed location |
So it looks like FedEx’s tracking page is as screwed up now as Apple’s Order Status page was last week.
But at last my G5 is at least in my own country.
