I’m trapped in my own building! Overhead, the PA keeps whooping and saying “Attention. Attention. A severe weather storm has been reported. Walk to the designated area immediately.” Since I am in a windowless room I’ve decided to just stay in my office. My only knowledge of the outside has come from the local TV affiliates’ websites. This is what WXYZ‘s Doppler 7 radar shows:
AT 755 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO OVER DEARBORN…OR 8 MILES WEST OF DOWNTOWN DETROIT…MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.This is right overhead! First manhole covers exploding and now this! It is the will of Allah! Run for your lives!
The warning was set to expire at 8:00 but has been extended to 8:15. Hopefully the stupid alarm will shut up then and I can go home. [7:58 PM]
Update: “The building emergency situation has been cleared. You can return to your normal activites.” [8:16 PM]
