Well, it’s been announced that John Entwistle’s death is the result of cocaine use, which aggravated his heart condition. What strikes me as odder than a 57 year old man with a heart condition using cocaine, is using it the night before the start of their 2002 tour. If I were on the eve of a huge tour, the one thing I’d want is something to help me sleep. I’d be taking Nyquil a sure lot sooner than I’d be using cocaine.
Be that as it may, all this news has really reawakened my interest in The Who, causing me to bring out their CDs again. It’s also caused me to dive into my old analog archives, where I dug up this tape I made of their July 25 1989 stop at the echoey, cavernous Pontiac Silverdome.
Mickey,
I came across your entry in an attempt to locate a recording of the Who’s 25 July 1989 concert at the Pontiac Silverdome, and it seems you have one. Any possibility of getting a copy?
