Obviously others have greater tall tales to tell about their first computers; but, still, I got a kick out of seeing all these specs, ca 1994, from my old Packard Bell box, uncovered while doing the Christmas decorations.
Upgradable to 64MB? How about that monster 420MB disk drive?!
When my dad bought our first IBM PC (a snappy 80286 running at a blazing 133Mhz) it came with an 80MB hard drive, one 5.25 floppy drive and we got a 9 pin dot matrix printer for free! 80M was all the disk space we’d ever need.
