Pardon Our Dust

The proposed changes are done, for the most part. I kind of compromised on archiving entries. I only worked on the pre-pMachine ones (prior to July 2002). With those, I removed them from PHP and converted them to plain HTML pages. I’d hoped that pruning away PHP entries might make the homepage load faster, but to be honest there are too many entries for that. But at least those HTML pages will load faster.
Along with that I did a couple tweaks on the page templates. Among other small adjustments too insignificant to mention, I narrowed the food-strip to the left to make it less prominent (but I still think it makes my ass look big).
In more typical news, I went to one of the local Chinese buffets today for the first time. It was nice. The food wasn’t that great, but I liked the selection. It was nice to sample the different dishes, although they were rather bland. As far as Chinese dining goes, I still prefer Trenton’s Hawaiian Islands restaurant.
Incidentally, my fortune today reads “You will make change for the better.” Don’t see how that applies to me. Unless I’m going to carry coins and small bills and follow gamblers around.

Yes, I know the preferred spelling is “bettor”, but that spoils the joke (bad enough as it is).
