I read somewhere that a white Christmas is a sign of prosperity for the New Year. It seemed forebodingly familiar that Christmas looked like it would most certainly not be white, since the snows had been washed away and the forecasts were for temperatures above freezing.But what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a steady snowfall starting around 11 PM on Christmas Eve and lasting through much of Christmas Day itself!
