JFathers, the insidious Moriarity to my Miss Marple…no, wait…that doesn’t sound right. Whatever. JFathers, who otherwise lurks here demanding food, has finally proven himself useful by pointing out that my expandable/collapsible menu (not to be confused with the incredible edible egg) had been broken for the last couple days — ever since I upgraded to pMachine 2.3.Having been in a hot dog induced stupor this Fourth of July weekend (I swear — not that I’m complaining — we had grilled hot dogs for every meal this weekend!), I completely failed to notice this. I guess it is undeniable proof that I suck at being a webmaster. However, it’s still a good lesson for my churlish little website to know: that I can break it at any time!
But, yet again, I digress. It turns out I completely forgot that the expandable/collapsible egg — er, menu — required a hack of one pMachine’s file. And when I upgraded I forgot to redo the hack. I just reinstated it, my “Expand” and “Collapse” links work, and…lo and behold…my JavaScript problem from Friday went away too.
So, thanks JFathers. You deserve a new car.
