After doing further searches I found this translation of the full song, as well as an explanation that the song is in fact a South Korean protest to the 2002 Olympics controversy involving the speed skating gold medal. (And not about US/North Korea relations, as I had originally assumed.)
I even found sheet music, if you’d like to play along. The original Korean site (link) has too many plugins and pop-up ads (and I have no idea what they’re for or might do), so I provide this screen grab.
I was also able to track down a full-length MP3 of the song, which, to save you the trouble of wading through Korean message boards and at the risk of the USA PATRIOT Act, I’ll also make available here. Why? Because the song — and the fact the East tries to excoriate us but can’t resist using our music — amuses me. Plus, I didn’t do all these web-searches for nothing!
I don’t have anything enlightening to write, other than thanks for the links and truth behind the “Fucking USA” song. It’s important to me to check my facts before repeating them, and I’m glad to see it’s important to others, too. 🙂
