Microsoft has announced a 15-month plan to advertise Windows XP, in advance of the release of Windows “Longhorn” reportedly at the end of 2006. The announcement coincides with the April 29 release of Apple’s OS update “Tiger”, as if to obscure the fact Mac users will soon be able to take advantage of features Microsoft can only discuss in the abstract for a year. …But I digress. My main reason for mentioning this is to point out how their “Start Something” campaign is already off to a rocky start, in that the first image released to the press was created — yes, you guessed it — on a Mac!
