War on Stupidity

If the President can wage a war on an abstract noun*, then why can’t I?
Apparently our teachers are too busy leaving no child behind than actually teaching those children simple English. How else to explain the consistently poor spelling and grammar evident all over the Internet. In hopes of alleviating at least some small part of these eyesores, may I present the opening salvo in my War on Stupidity.
    Children, please pay attention.
Lose: be deprived of, or cease to have or retain something
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place
Note that these are two different words and are not interchangeable.
*As Terry Jones puts it in his book War on the War on Terror.
