Evidently Eric Idle was quite serious when he was talking Mike Nichols into directing a Broadway-bound musical based on the Monty Python & the Holy Grail movie. CNN has announced a few roles have been cast, and although Tim Curry and Hank Azaria and David Hyde Pierce aren’t megastars they’re certainly recognizable names — and certainly bigger celebrities than I would’ve expected this silly silly silly project attracting. Looks like I’m going to have to seriously reconsider my way of thinking about it. Also looks like I might have to consider driving to Chicago this Winter. Then again I should’ve known not to underestimate the project. Even God Himself has said “Of course it’s a good idea!”

Good thing we have The New York Times to protect us and inform us. According to a groundbreaking 
Updates might be even more sporadic over the next few days. I’m still unable to use my desktop computer, of course, but it’s possible a new power supply I ordered might correct that. Also, Ed, my friend, confidant, and stomach, has turned evil!
Mighty booms echoing across the river. Concussions from the air setting off car alarms. Children begging impatiently to go home. Yes, it’s the Fourth of July Fireworks in Trenton (MI)!
My computer, the one I sank thousands of dollars into building, did not even last a year. I don’t know what happened to it last night, but this morning I can not get it to work. It powers on, at least, and occasionally I’ll get a POST, but the screen goes black halfway through booting up and hard drive activity stops. I don’t think it’s a hard drive problem since it happens with both XP and W2K and they’re on two different drives.
