Guess the wait wasn’t worth it. The rumor sites got me worked up for nothing. No G5 iMac, no new iPod news, just word that Konfabulator has been appropriated into OS X, and the new OS X requires newer hardware than what’s on my PowerBook. So not only am I not interested in upgrading, I couldn’t if I wanted to.
Not only do I have to buy this gorgeous dual-monitor setup, I also have to buy a new keyboard to replace the one I just drooled all over.

I saw the new movie Fahrenheit 9/11 this morning, before work. What a crock of shit! Listen, I know there’s such a thing as suspension of disbelief, but this movie is unbelievable. I can live with The Matrix, where guys are able to evade bullets with just the power of their mind, but there’s no freaking way you can get me to believe in the “alternate reality” of Michael Moore’s new science fiction film. He actually expects us to believe that the America of this “not too distant future” would be dumb enough to elect as a President a man barely able to string three words together. Let alone they’d be duped into blindly backing a fullfledged all-out war with some enemy to be determined later. I applaud Moore’s use of videotape to give the film a kind of cinema verité look, but despite his efforts to make the movie appear like a documentary there’s no way anyone could be fooled into thinking these events could ever actually take place. I have more faith in my fellow countrymen than to think they could ever be led by such bumbling comic book villains as this President Bush and his badly written gang of evil minions. Mr. Moore, the moviegoing public deserve better from you than such a ridiculous story as this. In short, save your money and just read 1984.
I have to admit the Mac sites have really built up anticipation to learn more about the planned — or rumored — G5 iMac. Apparently Steve Jobs is going to unveil it Monday, at the World Wide Developers Conference. If this URL works it should link to President Bush’s new web video. If it doesn’t work, just go to GeorgeWBush.com and look for the commercial titled “Kerry’s Coalition of the Wild-Eyed”. Therein Kerry and Gore and Gephardt and Michael Moore make a heck of a lot of sense and really get their point across, even at the expense of their host. Bush did lead us into a fictitious war, he did play on our fears, he has betrayed this country. he is a miserable failure, and after these last few years we do need strong leadership and a sense of optimism. How kind of Bush’s own website to point out his failings.
