Oscars 2001

For the purposes of an April Fools joke, let’s pretend this is not an update. I am still desperately fixated on creating a navigation menu bar for the site. I was barely able to effect this before and have come a bit closer now, I think. At least this one can be viewed in both IE and Netscape.
This previous week was so long it seems like a month since the last update (which is in fact true of my Jimmy Buffett page). Last time, I was talking about the Oscars. I very much enjoyed Steve Martin’s hosting, and I thought the show was pretty satisfactory. I liked how the wealth was spread fairly well: I’m glad Steven Soderberg won (since being nominated twice in the same year would seem enough to make him the Best Director), but I still don’t see why Gladiator was deemed Best Picture. But then again 2000 didn’t seem like that great a year in movies anyway.
