DA BST. WEBSIET. EVAR.

Man, this “English-to-12-Year-Old-AOLer” Translator will definitely be a handy resource in helping me make sense of 98% of the message boards and web pages out there.
I suppose I should mention “The Shizzolator” too, even though I despise that whole stupid interminable “-izzle” fad.

A Visit to the Flat Rock Taco Bell

To order there is a teeth-clencher.
The managers hire without censure.
You don’t know what you’ll eat,
    Maybe tacos sans meat.
Each visit is like an adventure.

It’s true, you know. I was there when the manager got a phone call complaining they’d forgotten to put meat on an order of tacos! The last time I was there, ordering inside, they skipped my order completely and started serving people behind me. (At least I got a $5-off coupon…which I just redeemed today.)

There Oughta Be an Amendment About That!

Ack! President Bush defaces the American flag! And in my own state too!
And in other news, it’s time for a Taco Bell run. Hopefully I can make it back in time.

Dreadful, But On Time

There once was a lightbulb named Cass
Made of an opaque kind of glass.
    He would frequently bitch
    to his friend the lightswitch
for being woke by 80 watts up the ass.

Another Pointless Photo

Hey look, it’s a bleary-eyed kid with a duck

This is a statue in my Aunt’s backyard. She said the statue was straight when she got it; but over the years, the sun has apparently worn it down or melted it, so now the statue is slowly starting to topple, at a rate slightly faster than glacial. We call it The Leaning Statue of a Kid With a Duck.

Back Again

Did you miss me? I wandered over to Windows Update and installed a couple fixes and patches. It didn’t interfere with my posting schedule, but it felt strange to shut everything down and reboot. The break gave me time to have some lunch too.
The mail just came as well, and I got my latest package from Amazon. I’ve got some new CDs to listen to while I continue to blog: Greg “Fingers” Taylor‘s new one Hi Fi Baby and, because of Homestar Runner, Brontosaurus from DaVinci’s Notebook. (You know you’re a H*R fan when you start buying stuff just because there’s a Homestar connection.)

Blog Within a Blog: My New Computer 5.0.1

I wish I had my network set up, since I’d be able to roam around and yet still post. As it is, everything’s on order. Once I got the new computer running on Thursday night, I went on an online shopping spree and ordered the ingredients for a home network, SATA drives, and even more cathode lights. Unfortunately those won’t show up till next week (well, the cathode lights showed up, but they sent me a single inverter instead of a dual inverter so I have to send it back. Sheesh), but at least this big project will be done soon.
